Hey everyone,
Just got back from the unveiling event for the new Engine 23 for the Evanston Fire Department. It was quite the showcase! I managed to snap some photos that I wanted to share with you all. These images really capture the essence of this impressive fire truck, which was manufactured by Pierce and is now part of Evanston's fleet.
The event had a great turnout, and it was exciting to see how much pride everyone took in this new addition to their emergency response team. The collaboration between Northwestern University and the Evanston Fire Department was also highlighted, as this new engine will play a crucial role in supporting both the community and the university.
Here are some of the shots I took:

One thing that stood out to me was how the design of the truck not only focuses on functionality but also integrates elements that reflect the local culture and values. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making sure this engine would meet the specific needs of the Evanston area.
If you're interested in learning more about this new addition or want to see more photos, feel free to check out the official Evanston Fire Department website or social media channels. There’s always something exciting happening in our local fire departments, and this is definitely one of those moments!
Take care,
Collin
