According to the Salvation Army website:

“The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) of Greater Chicagoland provides immediate support and compassion to disaster survivors and emergency workers. This includes food, shelter, spiritual care, and long-term recovery assistance. The Salvation Army is typically the first organization to arrive at the scene and often remains the last to leave. Their services are available to everyone in need, regardless of background or belief.”

The Emergency Disaster Services Chicago Metropolitan Division is based in Elk Grove Village and operates a fleet of 10 vehicles.
