A firefighter was seen making a daring leap to safety as flames raged and smoke filled the air. The incident began around 7 a.m. when an extra-alarm fire broke out at a building located on the 2700 block of South Lowe. The situation quickly escalated, with power lines in the area sparking and adding to the challenge for firefighters trying to contain the blaze. When the Skycam team arrived, they captured footage of firefighters sliding down ladders from the roof as thick smoke engulfed the scene. One firefighter, who had become trapped on the rooftop, was seen jumping to a neighboring building to escape the flames. Thankfully, all firefighters were accounted for after the incident. At least six were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
