Carol Stream FPD – ambulances updated

Larry Shapiro shared the following update:

I recently visited the Carol Stream Fire District and had the chance to photograph all three front-line medic units with their new numbering system. All three were stationed at Station 28, and I managed to capture a group photo as well.

During my visit, I was informed that they are expecting a new unit on a Freightliner chassis, specifically a Medtec demo, which will eventually replace Medic 29.

It's always interesting to see how the fleet evolves over time. The new numbering system makes it easier to track each unit, and the upcoming replacement of Medic 29 with a Freightliner-based Medtec unit shows the district is staying up-to-date with modern equipment. I'm looking forward to seeing how this new unit performs in the field.
