I recently visited the Carol Stream Fire District and had the chance to photograph all three of their front-line medic units. All three were stationed at Station 28, and I managed to capture a group photo as well. It was great to see how the department is maintaining its fleet with up-to-date equipment.

During my visit, I was informed that they are expecting a new unit on a Freightliner chassis, which is a Medtec demo, to replace Medic 29. This upgrade should help keep their ambulance service running smoothly and efficiently.

It’s always interesting to see how local fire departments evolve over time, especially when it comes to their emergency response vehicles. The new unit for Medic 29 should bring some fresh updates to the fleet, and I look forward to seeing how it performs in the field.
