From what Drew Gresik shared:
I just witnessed an intense fire incident at 2324 South California. It broke out in a two-and-a-half story wooden building that had been abandoned. By the time I took these pictures, the firefighters had already shifted to a defensive strategy. Tower 5 was relocated to Sector 1, while Squad 1's Snorkel was actively using a master stream in Sector 2. The fire seemed to be raging in the attic or on the second floor. Although I didn't spot any visible flames, there was a thick veil of smoke everywhere. I managed to capture a few shots before things got more chaotic.
This is Drew Gresik.

These photos really capture the intensity of the situation. You can see how the firefighters were working hard to control the blaze, even though it was a tough fight. The smoke made it difficult to see clearly, but you can still get a sense of the scale and urgency of their efforts. This was definitely one of those moments where you realize how dangerous and unpredictable fires can be, especially in older structures like this one.
I'm grateful to have been able to document this scene and share it with everyone. It's a reminder of both the risks faced by first responders and the importance of having skilled teams ready to handle emergencies like this.
Take care, and stay safe out there!
