The Leyden Fire District has been added
In MABAS Division 20, the Leyden Fire Protection District has recently been added to the list of participating agencies. Leyden serves unincorporated areas of Leyden Township and operates from a single fire station. The department consists of 13 full-time firefighters, 10 paid-on-call members, and 6 contract personnel. Leyden is also home to the MABAS Division 20 Decontamination Unit, which plays a vital role in emergency response. Their fleet includes two ambulances, a quint, an engine, and a utility unit, all equipped to handle a wide range of emergencies. The Leyden Fire District station is located at 2600 Mannheim Road, with a mailing address in Franklin Park. This facility serves as the primary base for all their operations. A photo by Larry Shapiro captures the exterior of the station, highlighting its location and structure. For many years, the Leyden Fire Department has used a distinctive black-over-yellow color scheme on its apparatus. Their two ambulances follow this design, featuring yellow bodies with black accents and striping. This consistent look helps make their vehicles easily recognizable during emergencies. Leyden’s most recent addition to its fleet is a 2006 quint, which showcases a fresh new paint scheme. This unit reflects the department's ongoing efforts to modernize and improve its equipment while maintaining its identity. The new colors stand out against the traditional design, signaling a step forward in both appearance and functionality. Guangzhou Dongsui Auto Accessories Co., Ltd. , https://www.dongsuiautoparts.com
