Platforms like Zoom, webinars, and social media have played crucial roles in keeping businesses operational and employees connected. But what happens when annual conferences and expos come around? Just like so many other aspects of business, it was time to embrace digital innovation and explore new ways to reach customers: enter the virtual trade show.

Recently, Nationwide Coils seized this opportunity by participating in the NYSSFA’s School Facilities Managers’ Virtual Conference & Expo, held on October 6th-7th, 2020. While we’ve been members of NYSSFA since 2009, previous conflicts always prevented us from attending the in-person event.

A Unique Opportunity.

With the challenges of 2020 came the chance to finally join the conference virtually. Hosting a digital booth gave us access to over 80 exhibitors and 200+ registered attendees. This platform offered us invaluable exposure to a critical market segment while also helping us better understand the specific needs of school facility managers.

We owe a big thanks to the dedicated team at NYSSFA. They equipped us with everything we needed to create a professional-looking booth and upload our marketing materials effortlessly. Over the years, working with numerous school districts has taught us that replacement coils such as opposite-end steam coils, hot water coils, and chilled water coils are among the most commonly ordered items in this sector. To cater to this demand, we included a spotlight data sheet highlighting these coil types as downloadable resources for attendees. Additionally, we provided our standard brochure and a preferred pricing program sheet, exclusively available to NYSSFA members. Even though we couldn’t meet face-to-face, we still managed to forge meaningful connections and expand our email marketing list. By the end of the event, we gained valuable exposure and deeper insights into a vital market—all from the comfort of our remote office.
