At 10 o'clock on the morning of October 18, in the assembly workshop of Jixi Coal Mine Machinery Co., Ltd., the powerful sound of machinery filled the air as two massive drums of the shearer began to rotate slowly. This marked a major milestone—the successful testing of the world's most advanced electric traction shearer, featuring cutting-edge power systems, control mechanisms, and detection capabilities. The machine, developed in Jixi City, represents a significant leap forward in coal mining technology.
The shearer was independently developed by the company after over a year of research and development. It has an impressive daily coal extraction capacity of up to 20,000 tons. During its design and manufacturing process, the team achieved four major breakthroughs: the highest installed power among similar machines, automatic memory adjustment for coal mining height, remote automatic monitoring, and three-level linkage across the coal mining face. These innovations make it one of the most advanced machines in the industry.
On October 19, the machine will be shipped to Beijing to participate in the 11th China International Coal Mining Technology Exchange and Equipment Exhibition. This event is a key platform for showcasing the latest advancements in coal mining technology, and the inclusion of this new shearer highlights the growing global influence of Chinese coal equipment manufacturers.
