Dalian is set to host a major procurement event for auto parts from September 20 to 22, 2004. This marks the second China Auto Parts Transnational Sourcing Fair's special event in Dalian, organized by Shanghai International Advertising Exhibition Co., Ltd. The event will feature a dedicated workshop focused on sourcing auto parts for TRW, one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers. TRW’s Asia Pacific procurement director will travel to Dalian with a $2 billion purchasing list, seeking reliable suppliers across the Northeast and nationwide to strengthen its supply chain.
As a top-500 global company that recently entered the Chinese market, TRW Automotive is actively looking for local partners to collaborate in the auto parts sector. This partnership aims to tap into the growing Chinese auto manufacturing industry and integrate into the global supply network. The event is not only a key stop in the second edition of the China Auto Parts Transnational Sourcing Fair but also part of a broader initiative spanning from September 2004 to March 2005.
Throughout this period, specialized procurement workshops will be held in major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Guangzhou. Top international buyers will visit these locations, either individually or in groups, to explore potential domestic partnerships. The series will culminate in the "China Auto Sourcing 2005" event in Shanghai, where around 30 global auto parts buyers are expected to attend, with purchase volumes reaching billions of dollars.
