1. Cleaning If necessary, wipe the instrument case with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use solvents or cleaners. Make sure that the sensor's permeation membrane is completely fragment-free. When cleaning the sensor window, use a soft, clean cloth or soft brush.
2. Battery Charging Lithium battery pack must be fully charged before using the detector. To charge the internal battery compartment, insert the M40 Detector Charger's portable charging cable into the charging port on the bottom of the instrument. There is a rubber cap on this port. To make sure the connection is correct, align the arrow on the charging plug with the arrow on the label on the bottom of the instrument. The battery box should be fully charged within 5 hours. . A fully-charged lithium battery case usually allows the instrument to operate continuously for 18 hours with slow power consumption, or 12 hours with a simultaneous use of a sampling pump. As the battery charge decreases, the shadow area of ​​the battery icon on the instrument display also decreases. When there is 10 minutes remaining in the battery, the component emits a regular reminder to remind you to charge the instrument.
3. Replace the Sensor To replace the sensor inside the detector, first make sure that the SP40 sampling pump is disconnected from the component. After removing the SP40 sampling pump, turn the M40 detector over and remove the 4 screws on the four corners of the element. Then carefully separate the front and rear cover of the component, taking care not to pull off the vibration alarm connector. After separating the components' front and rear covers, place the rear cover next to the front cover. What you will see is the back of the sensor circuit board. Carefully remove the two screws holding the sensor board and the clips on the black board. After removing the clip, unscrew the two screws near the center of the sensor board. You can now pull the sensor board out of the front cover of the instrument. The four sensors together are on this circuit board. To remove all the sensors, you have to remove them one by one from the outlet. Each sensor has its own unique imprint. Immediately after removing a sensor, install a new sensor in the correct position. After replacing the sensor, reinstall the sensor board back into the component. Screw in two screws and fix the board inside the front cover of the instrument. Then add a black motherboard clip. After the sensor circuit board is properly installed, close the front and rear of the instrument, and re-fix it with four screws. Two shorter screws are mounted on the bottom case.
4. Sample pump If a low-flow alarm condition occurs, make sure that no obstructions are visible in the sample tube. If the component continues to alarm, it may be time to replace the built-in dust/waterproof filter. To replace the filter, turn off the detector power, remove the bottom nozzle of the SP40 sampling pump, and replace the built-in filter. After replacing the new filter, place the nozzle back on the sampling pump and open the detector.
