At the recent China International Industrial Surfactant Exhibition in Shanghai, Dow Chemical's booth attracted a lot of attention, with its Polyglycol Ether and Surfactants Division products standing out. Among them, the newly launched ECOSURF SA non-ionic surfactant has gained significant interest due to its eco-friendly design and superior performance. Many buyers were eager to discuss partnerships, impressed by its sustainable approach and high-quality characteristics.
According to reports, the ECOSURF SA series represents Dow’s next-generation biodegradable non-ionic surfactants, meeting global environmental and safety standards. Made from natural vegetable oils, these products are ideal for green applications such as eco-friendly coatings, paints, and cleaning agents, without emitting volatile organic compounds. Additionally, they offer excellent surface tension reduction, wettability, and strong cleaning capabilities, making them suitable for industries like papermaking, textile processing, and agrochemicals. They can be used globally without requiring special environmental labels or grading.
Currently, Dow offers over 200 surfactant products worldwide, with well-known brands such as ECOSURF SA, TRITON, DOWFAX, and TERGITOL gaining widespread industry recognition. In the textile sector, Dow surfactants are used in fabric softeners, dyes, and spinning oils. In emulsion polymerization, they support the production of medical protective devices, strong adhesives, and latex-based paper products. In cleaning applications, they serve as industrial degreasers for floors and mechanical dishwashing detergents, ensuring spotless tableware in fine dining settings. In the paint and coatings industry, they are used in automotive finishes, marine coatings, and printing inks.
