So this just happened earlier today, and I thought I’d share it with you since it’s pretty interesting. I was driving past the old Willow Springs Fire Station, which is now under Tri-State. I couldn’t help but stop for a moment to take some pictures because things have really changed around here.
When I got out of my car, I noticed there were still a couple of the old Willow Springs SUVs parked outside. They kind of look out of place now, given everything’s been rebranded under Tri-State. There used to be a Chevy pickup truck that looked like it could’ve been a brush unit, but it seems like it’s gone now. That’s kind of sad, actually—it felt like a piece of history.
While I was snapping photos, I also spotted one of the newer police units nearby. It’s got the same design elements as the old Willow Springs Fire trucks, so it made me pause for a second. It’s funny how things carry over even after all these changes.
Anyway, here are some of the pictures I took. The first one shows the Tri-State logo painted on the side of the building—it’s definitely a bold change from what it used to be. Then there’s the shot of those old SUVs standing there like they’re waiting for something—or someone—to come back. And finally, there’s the picture of the new police unit. It’s weird seeing familiar elements in such a different context.
Oh, and I almost forgot—there’s one more image I wanted to include. It’s another angle of the station itself, but this time with the sunlight hitting it differently. It really highlights how much this place has transformed over the years.
