I’ve always been fond of my old Benks ArmorAir Case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It's sturdy yet lightweight, which made it my go-to choice for quite some time. However, life has a way of humbling us, and I realized I wasn’t nearly as cautious with my phone as I had initially thought.
To quote my own words from a post not too long ago:
> "Generally, I have always been careful with my phone; hence, this case suits me well. I have been using this case as my daily driver since."
Looking back at what I said about the ArmorAir Case, I mentioned:
> "If you notice, the lip of the case doesn’t overlap with the edges of the screen. So, if you drop your phone, I am certain your screen protector will take the hit and crack, while the titanium frame of your iPhone might be able to avoid scratches."
Well, that prediction came true. One day, my iPhone 16 Pro Max slipped off the sofa, and sure enough, my Benks GlassWarrior Sapphire Screen Protector cracked. To make matters worse, there was another unexplained crack that I initially mistook for a scratch. When I reached out to Benks about it, they confirmed it was indeed a crack, not a scratch, despite their screen protectors being scratch-resistant. Even though it wasn’t their fault, they kindly sent me a replacement Benks GlassWarrior Sapphire Screen Protector.

After this experience, I decided to switch to the Benks ArmorPro Case, which offers more comprehensive protection compared to the ArmorAir. The ArmorPro Case retails for **S$49.24** on Lazada and **S$46.16** on Shopee. If you're outside regions where Lazada or Shopee operate, you can purchase it directly from Benks for **US$39.99**, with a storewide 15% discount available by applying the coupon code **lesterchan15**, bringing the price down to approximately **US$33.99**, excluding shipping.
The Benks ArmorPro Case is essentially the ArmorAir Case but with a TPU frame, providing full protection for your iPhone. Weighing in at 43g compared to the ArmorAir’s 27.5g, it’s slightly heavier but far more protective.

One of the standout features of the ArmorPro Case is the raised lip around the screen protector, which helps prevent the screen from cracking during drops. While I appreciate this feature, I do wish the lip were a bit higher for added security.

Another advantage is that the ArmorPro Case retains the same level of compatibility with MagSafe accessories as the ArmorAir Case, thanks to its internal magnetic design. The magnetic strength is just as strong between the two cases.

Reflecting on my earlier experiences, I wish I had chosen the ArmorPro Case from the beginning. It’s clear now that I underestimated how careless I could be. In hindsight, the extra protection offered by the ArmorPro Case seems worth every gram.

Overall, the Benks ArmorPro Case strikes a great balance between protection and usability. If you’re looking for a case that combines durability and style without compromising on features, this one is definitely worth considering.
