The relevant department has revealed that China's first million-ton bioethanol production line will be completed and put into operation in Changchun, Jilin in 2011. The project has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and the former State Environmental Protection Administration and is invested by Changchun Dacheng Group.

The project has completely independent intellectual property rights and has achieved new technological breakthroughs in key aspects such as bioethanol production, synthetic processes, and product separation. The unit volume production capacity has increased by 5%, production cost has been reduced by 10%, and continuous production hours have been guaranteed. Achieve 330 days/year. After the completion of the production line in 2011, it will achieve an output value of 6.5 billion yuan and a profit of 1.5 billion yuan. Qi Hongbin, deputy chief engineer of Changchun Dacheng Group, said that after the completion of the project, it is not only the first one million tons of bioethanol production line in China, but also a leading position in the world.

At present, Changchun Dacheng Group is researching new production processes of bio-based chemical alcohols using straw and algae as raw materials.
