The Top Ten Awards in 2007 revealed the winners

On February 28, 2008, the auto parts industry unveiled its "Top Ten" list for 2007, alongside major award announcements. This three-month event, launched with great enthusiasm, quickly became a highly anticipated and authoritative recognition within the sector. The competition was fierce, with awards given in categories such as Top Ten Individuals, Top Ten Famous Brands, Top Ten Filter Brands, Top Ten Future Auto Parts Cities, Top Ten Distributors, Top Ten Export Enterprises, and Top Ten Multinational Companies. These honors celebrated both established leaders and emerging stars, reflecting their hard work and achievements over the past year. The selection aimed to boost online engagement, recognize outstanding contributions to the industry, promote brand building, and facilitate exchanges between manufacturers and distributors. It provided a platform for companies to enhance their visibility and strengthen product awareness, contributing to the healthy development of the auto parts industry. The 2007 “Top Ten” selection became the largest industry event of the year, backed by over 30 media outlets, including CCTV, Beijing TV, Sohu Auto, Sina Auto, Tencent Auto, and Auto Business Network. With over 2 million votes cast and more than 1 million user messages, it created a significant buzz in the industry. This year’s major awards were particularly notable, as they were chosen through public voting, making the results well-deserved. Yin Tongyao, chairman of Chery Automobile, made his debut in the selection and won the “Top Ten Man of the Year,” showcasing his leadership and ability, and earning strong support from netizens for China’s national automotive industry. Many names appeared multiple times on the list. Qiu Shuqiang and Chen Lixiang, for example, were already well-known in the industry. Brands like Zero Kilometers and Shan Duoli had already gained recognition, while Beijing Wufang Tianya Auto Parts City received its third “Top Ten Future Auto Parts City” award, signaling its growing influence. Other cities like Shanghai Wuzhong, Xi’an Daming, Xiangfan Jinxiu Dongfeng, and Zhengzhou’s domestic auto parts market showed promising potential for future growth. New categories this year included Top Ten Multinational Enterprises, Top Ten Filter Brands, and Top Ten Export Enterprises. Leading global brands like Bosch, Philips, Johnson, Mahle, Schaeffler, and others joined forces with domestic companies, showing confidence in the Chinese auto parts market. The voting process involved online, SMS, and offline methods, ensuring broad participation and fairness. Each IP address could only vote once per hour, preventing vote manipulation. SMS voting allowed users to cast three votes, which boosted engagement significantly. Due to high traffic, the online system faced several crashes, highlighting the immense interest from the public. To include those without internet access, the organizers printed 200,000 physical ballots, which were later processed and added to the online tally to maintain fairness. The award ceremony will take place on March 29 at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, where industry professionals from across the country will gather to celebrate the winners. This event not only honored excellence but also reinforced the collaborative spirit and future direction of the auto parts industry.
