Recently, the cold rolling mill of the board industry has vigorously tackled the problem of energy use. Through close follow-up investigations and research, a public circulating pump is shut down, which significantly reduces electric energy consumption. It is estimated that the cost will be reduced by more than 70,000 yuan per month.

As an important energy index, circulating water is used in almost all processes. The use of circulating water in each process requires stringent requirements for water pressure. At the beginning of public and auxiliary construction, a total of five circulating pumps were designed, one for standby and four for normally open. The first-line processes provide circulating water. Faced with the severe situation, at the end of 2013, the plant was rigorously demonstrated, and on the premise of ensuring the supply of recycled water, one circulating pump was turned off and changed to three normally open pumps, which substantially reduced costs. Since the start of the offensive and defensive war, the plant has stepped up efforts to reduce costs, and in the context of gradual stabilization of production lines and stable energy consumption, the company has tracked and used the requirements for circulating water use and water pressure in various processes. Under the premise of theoretical verification, decisively decided to close one circulating pump again and replace it with two normally open ones. After actual inspection, the circulating water supply can meet the practical needs of the first-line production process. This scheme is fully feasible. This research reform has reduced the use of a 160-kilowatt motor, and the electricity consumption alone has been reduced by 115,000 yuan per month. Based on the current average electricity price of 0.61 yuan, the cost reduction is more than 70,000 yuan.
