Rare earth isoprene rubber production line to fill gaps in domestic production

A few days ago, the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology brought together a team of experts to evaluate the rare earth isoprene rubber developed independently by Qingdao Yikexin New Materials Co., Ltd. This significant breakthrough marks a major step forward in China's synthetic rubber industry. The company has already established an annual production line capable of manufacturing 30,000 tons of rare earth isoprene rubber, which is expected to fill a critical gap in domestic production.
Building upon previous research into domestic isoprene rubber technology, the project has achieved substantial innovation. It has successfully developed an industrial production process for rare earth isoprene rubber with independent intellectual property rights. This development provides essential technical support for accelerating the replacement of imported synthetic rubber products.
The rare earth isoprene rubber technology involves the use of highly efficient rare earth catalysts, carefully selected through extensive screening of catalyst components. The resulting product not only matches but exceeds the quality of similar imported Russian products. Moreover, the production process generates only a minimal amount of qualified wastewater, making it far more environmentally friendly compared to traditional foreign technologies that produce large amounts of waste.
Isoprene rubber is known as "synthetic natural rubber" due to its molecular structure being very similar to that of natural rubber. As the best synthetic alternative to natural rubber, it has a wide range of applications, including tires, adhesive tapes, rubber tubes, and other rubber-based products.
According to reports, the first production line built by Yikexin New Materials Co., Ltd. will eventually reach an annual capacity of 100,000 tons, signaling a promising future for this innovative material in both domestic and international markets.
