Intelligent temperature controller common faults and solutions

Intelligent temperature controller common faults and solutions

1. Warm up for a while and the temperature does not change. Always show the ambient temperature (eg room temperature 25 ° C)

In case of such a fault, first check whether the SV value setting value is set, whether the meter OUT indicator is lit, and whether the 3 and 4 terminals of the meter have 12VDC output with the “multimeter”. If the light is on, terminals 3 and 4 also have a 12 VDC output. It indicates that the problem lies in the control device of the heating element (such as; AC contactor, solid state relay, relay, etc.), check whether the control device has an open circuit, and whether the device specifications are incorrect (such as the 380V device in the circuit of 220), Whether the line is connected wrong or not. Also check if the sensor is short-circuited (the meter always shows room temperature when the thermocouple is shorted).

2, heating for a period of time, the temperature display is getting lower and lower

In the case of such a fault, the positive and negative polarity of the sensor is generally reversed. At this time, the meter sensor input terminal wiring should be viewed (thermocouple: 8 connected to the positive pole, 9 connected to the negative pole; PT100 thermal resistor: 8 connected to the monochromatic line, 9 and 10 are connected to the same two lines).

3. When heating for a period of time, the temperature value (PV value) displayed by the meter is very different from the actual temperature of the heating element (for example, the actual temperature of the heating element is 200 ° C, and the meter shows 230 ° C or 180 ° C)

In case of such a fault, first check whether the contact point between the temperature probe and the heating element is loose, such as loose contact, whether the temperature point selection is correct, and whether the temperature sensor specification is consistent with the temperature controller input specification (such as the temperature control table). For the K-type thermocouple input, the J-type thermocouple is used to measure the temperature).

4, the meter PV window displays HHH or LLL characters

Solution: If the temperature sensor is a thermocouple, the sensor can be removed, and the thermocouple input terminal (8 and 9 terminals) of the meter can be directly shorted by the wire. If the instrument can display the room temperature normally after power-on (the ambient temperature such as: 30) °C), the problem lies in the temperature sensor. Use the multimeter tool to detect whether the temperature sensor (thermocouple or PT100 thermal resistance) has an open circuit (broken wire), whether the sensor wire is reversed or connected incorrectly, or the sensor specifications are inconsistent with the meter.

If the above problems are eliminated, the internal temperature measurement circuit of the instrument may be burnt due to leakage of the sensor.

5. The control is out of control, the temperature exceeds the set value, and the temperature is always rising.

In case of such a fault, first check whether the meter OUT indicator at this time is lit, and use the DC voltage of the "multimeter" to measure whether the 3 and 4 terminals of the meter have 12VDC output. If the light is off, there is no 12VDC output for terminals 3 and 4. It indicates that the problem lies in the control device of the heating element (such as; AC contactor, solid state relay, relay, etc.).

Solution: Instantly check whether the control device has a short circuit, the contact is not open, and the wrong line is connected.
