New area apparatus deliveries

Several local fire departments have recently acquired new equipment to enhance their emergency response capabilities: The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District has welcomed a brand-new 105-foot Pierce Quint, designated Truck 53. This state-of-the-art aerial ladder truck is designed to tackle high-rise fires and provide critical access to elevated areas. The unit features advanced technology and improved safety features, ensuring the crew can respond more effectively in challenging situations. A photo of the vehicle is available below.

West Chicago Fire Department recently added a 2011 Pierce Impel pumper to its fleet. This pumper is equipped with a 1,500-GPM pump and a 750-gallon water tank, making it well-suited for a wide range of firefighting scenarios. The unit, with serial number 24377, was delivered to Station 1 and is already being used to support daily operations. Here's a photo of the new apparatus:

In addition, the Northbrook Fire Department has introduced a new ambulance from Medtec for Station 11. This Type I ambulance, manufactured by IHC and equipped with Medtec components, is designed for efficient patient transport and medical care. It features modern medical equipment and a comfortable environment for both patients and responders. A photo of the unit is shown below:
