Japan's Yokohama Rubber Corporation announces a 7% increase in truck and car tire prices

Japanese tire manufacturer Yokohama Rubber announced on December 15, 2010 that due to the continuous increase in the price of natural rubber as the main raw material, the company will raise the average price of tires for trucks and passenger cars sold in Japan by 7%.

This price increase will be implemented from March 2011.

The Other three major tire manufacturers in Japan, Bridgestone, Sumitomo Rubber Industries and Toyo Rubber Industries, have announced price increases of about 7%.
