I wanted to share some vintage photos from a 3-11 alarm that took place on May 14, 2000. The fire occurred at the intersection of 71st and Wabash. These images were scanned from original negatives I own. They were taken by a photographer from the Chicago Sun-Times, though I don't have the name. The quality was quite poor, so I spent a lot of time editing out scratches and other imperfections. However, I havenâ€™t managed to remove all of them yet. You might recognize some faces in these photos, including a younger version of Father Mulcrone.
