(1 ) Before the blind shaft is drilled down, a counter-well must be drilled upward from the roadway at the stage or the top of the flat roof at the predetermined position of the blind shaft.
A sky wheel platform is installed in the anti-well to install the lifting sky wheel and the stable rope wheel; a slag discharging platform and a chute are installed in the lower part of the counter-well, and the waste rock used for blind shaft drilling is turned into the mine car.

After that, the blind shaft can be drilled down. The construction process is the same as that of the shaft construction. The only difference is that the lifting, ventilation, drainage, and cutting are all required and affected by the roadway (or flat) in the mining stage, so the construction speed is generally lower than that of the shaft. Therefore, the degree of mechanized equipment for blind shaft construction should not be too high.
The scheme of construction of blind shaft from top to bottom has shortcomings such as long preparation period and complicated preparation work. However, compared with the bottom-up construction scheme, the construction mechanization is relatively high, so it is suitable for deep and reverse blind shafts. Under the condition that the well construction is very difficult, it is especially suitable for mines that are jointly developed with flat and blind shafts.
