It took eight months for the equipment to be built and some parts were supplied by Purac's subsidiary in Beijing. The key components and technologies will come from the Purac headquarters in Lund. Chongqing will invest 170 million yuan around this project. After the equipment is completed, it will produce 5 MW of electricity. According to reports, Purac has so far provided 70 water treatment facilities for the Chinese city and paper industry.
