PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) shaped pieces are made from high-quality PTFE resin, molded into blanks based on product specifications. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE/Teflon) is one of the most commonly used fluorine-containing plastics, known for its excellent properties such as heat resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, non-stick characteristics, high insulation, and low friction. It is extensively used in various fields including chemicals, machinery, bridges, electricity, aviation, and electronics, and is considered one of the ideal engineering materials in modern industrial applications.
PTFE profiled material has exceptional thermal stability, allowing continuous use between 190°C and 260°C. It maintains its integrity even at freezing temperatures without becoming brittle, and does not melt at high temperatures. Its corrosion resistance makes it ideal for protecting components from any kind of chemical attack. Additionally, it resists atmospheric aging, ensuring long-term performance under outdoor conditions. The material also exhibits non-stick properties with minimal surface tension, preventing adhesion to any substance. Its strong dielectric properties make it an excellent insulator, with a dielectric strength of up to 10kV/mm.
The low friction coefficient of PTFE ensures excellent lubrication and wear resistance. The friction coefficient ranges between 0.04 and 0.15, making it ideal for sliding applications. This property also contributes to its outstanding wear resistance.
