Honeywell recently confirmed to IHS Automotive that it intends to increase its turbocharger capacity in China to more than 3 million units.

Honeywell said it plans to increase its turbocharger capacity in China by 76.9% in order to occupy a larger market share in the Chinese turbocharger market.

To increase production capacity, Honeywell will expand its turbocharger plant in Shanghai, China, with a maximum annual capacity of 1.3 million units.

In addition, a new plant is being built in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, for the production of turbochargers. The new plant is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year, and the annual production capacity can reach up to 2 million units in the later period.
