Operational Performance of Fabric Reinforced Rubber Seal
1. Minimal leakage: Fabric reinforced rubber seals require minimal leakage, have good sealing effect, and with increased hydraulic oil pressure, their sealing function improves automatically. Even in harsh environments like high pressure and high temperature, the leakage remains stable.
2. Good compatibility: Since fabric reinforced rubber seals are often soaked in hydraulic oil, they must resist swelling, dissolution, or embrittlement. This ensures long-term sealing performance.
3. Low friction resistance: To avoid issues like low-pressure crawling in hydraulic equipment, these seals must have low static and dynamic friction resistance, with a stable friction coefficient.
4. Long service life: These seals need flexibility, heat resistance, cold resistance, pressure resistance, wear resistance, and sufficient mechanical strength to ensure durability.
Structure of Fabric Reinforced Rubber Seal
Commonly used sealing pressure type fabric reinforced rubber seals include rings, circular rings, and rectangular sealing rings. They are simple in structure, easy to manufacture, cost-effective, and widely used in hydraulic transmission systems for both static and dynamic seals. They are typically installed in a groove with 10-25% radial compression deformation, creating high initial contact stress to prevent leakage without pressure. Under hydraulic pressure, further deformation increases the contact stress, improving sealing. For pressures above 10 MPa, synthetic resin retainers like nylon or PTFE rings are added to prevent damage from reciprocating motion.
