Recently, Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. Passenger Vehicle Company (hereinafter referred to as “Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Companyâ€) supervised the national market in accordance with the “Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall†and the “Implementation Measures for the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall Managementâ€. The General Administration of Management has filed a recall plan. From May 18, 2018, it will recall some Dongfeng Fengshen new AX7 cars produced between October 18, 2017 and March 9, 2018, for a total of 13,128 vehicles.
Due to the manufacturer's manufacturing reasons, some of the vehicles in the scope of the recall have defects in the press-fit process of the rear shell seal of the brake vacuum booster assembly. There may be cases where the brake hydraulic shock causes deformation and disengagement of the seal ring skeleton. In extreme cases, the vehicle may have a brake drag and an acceleration weakness, which may present a safety hazard.
Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Co., Ltd. will freely inspect vehicles within the recall range and replace defective vacuum boosters with improved vacuum booster assemblies to eliminate safety hazards.
