The company will produce the parts at its factory in Zhongshan, southeast China. The CTS, headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, will begin delivering these parts later this year.
This five-year contract will generate $10 million in revenue. CTS did not disclose the name of its new customer.
Two years ago, Toyota Motor Corp. recalled 2.3 million cars after discovering that some pedals produced by the CTS would be stuck, causing sudden acceleration. CTS has since redesigned the accelerator pedal.
