Chevron Phillips prepares to build nylon device in Saudi Arabia

It is reported that Chevron Phillips Chemical is preparing funds to build the company’s first nylon device in the Al-Jubail region of Saudi Arabia. The device mainly produces nylon 6,6 and is scheduled to be put into operation after September 2012.
The company currently produces pure benzene and cyclohexane locally, mainly by Saudi Chevron Phillips. Saudi Chevron Phillips is a joint venture between Chevron Phillips Chemical and Saudi Industrial Investment Group.
