Tianjin Suihua Petrochemical plans to build the world's largest propane dehydrogenation plant

Tianjin Suihua Petrochemical Company has granted a patent license and engineering design contract for a new propane dehydrogenation unit planned for Tianjin to the company's Lums Technical Subsidiary. This will be the first propane dehydrogenation unit built in China and is expected to start production in 2012. At the same time, it will also be the world's largest propane dehydrogenation unit, designed to produce 600,000 tons of propylene per year. The device will use Lums' patented Catofin dehydrogenation technology.
