Stainless Steel 410 Philips Flat Head Self-drilling Screw with Wings
This self-drilling screw with cutting wings is made of 410 stainless steel, which can be hardened through heat treatment, giving it the ability to drill through metal. But It does not offer the same level of corrosion resistance of either 316 or 304 stainless steel. Passivation can improve the corrosion resistance further.
Wings above drilling point provide clearance hole in wood piece so it won't climb up the shank; wings break off as point contact the steel substrate.
