Spartan Metro Star chassis
Cummins L9 450HP engine paired with an Allison transmission
Waterous 1500-GPM single-stage pump equipped with a pressure governor
750-gallon water tank for initial fire suppression
Integrated around-the-pump foam system with a 60-gallon foam tank
No light tower or generator installed – all lighting comes from Fire Tec LED scene lights
Full stainless steel body construction, chosen for its durability, cost-effectiveness, and lighter weight compared to aluminum (as noted by Alexis)
Streamlined cab design with no SCBA seating – all SCBA and PPE stored in a compartment directly behind the driver’s area
Only EMS equipment is kept inside the cab for quick access
Front bumper-mounted master stream, preconnect lines, and extrication tools for immediate use at incidents
Main hose bed designed to carry 2,000 feet of 5-inch hose
Removable hose bed with 800 feet of 3-inch hose for additional flexibility
Chassis delivery is scheduled for February, with final delivery expected in late spring or early summer. A more precise date will be confirmed once the chassis arrives.
