On Tuesday, August 11th, the Beecher Fire Protection District (FPD) and auto aid companies responded to a reported grain bin fire at the 900 block of E Delite Inn Road, near Cottage Grove Avenue. Upon arrival, Deputy Chief 45 found no visible flames, but quickly identified a smoldering fire in the center of one of the bins. Truck 44 was dispatched with a 1.75-inch line to attack the fire, while Tender 44 provided initial water supply and was "nurse-fed" by Grant Park Engine 110 and a Crete Township tender.

The response included assistance from several neighboring departments, including Grant Park, Monee, and Peotone engines, as well as Manteno and Crete Township tenders. Chiefs from Peotone and Crete Township also arrived on scene to help manage the operation. Auto aid companies were released shortly after arriving, but Beecher crews remained to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and that there was no rekindling.

These images provide a visual record of the coordinated and professional response that took place that day.
