Buffalo Grove house fire 12-21
Buffalo Grove was alerted to a house fire this morning just as firefighters were about to switch shifts. Upon arrival at 971 Belmar Lane, crews encountered heavy smoke pouring from the attached garage. Local departments from Long Grove, Palatine, Arlington Heights, and Lincolnshire-Riverwoods quickly responded to assist Buffalo Grove Fire Department. Fortunately, the fire remained contained within the garage and did not spread to the main structure of the home. Upon arrival, firefighters had heavy smoke in an attached garage at 971 Belmar Lane. No injuries were reported, and the fire was fully extinguished within an hour. Residents in the area were advised to keep windows closed and avoid the area until the situation was resolved.
