**5) Description**
The tubing pump is a critical component used in oil well operations. It is installed by connecting the barrel to the tubing and lowering it into the well at the desired depth. The plunger is then inserted into the barrel along with the sucker rod, enabling the pumping process.
**6) Working Principle**
During the upstroke, the plunger is positioned at the bottom of the pump. Hydraulic pressure from the upper tubing causes both the traveling and stationary valves to close. As the plunger moves upward, the stationary valve opens, allowing oil to flow through the pump. Due to higher pressure at the bottom, fluid is forced through the stationary valve and into the tubing. During the downstroke, the traveling valve opens, and pressure drives the oil into the plunger from the side hole of the extractor, eventually moving it into the tubing.

The subsurface sucker rod pump consists of several key components: tubing coupling, extension nipple, barrel coupling, barrel, traveling valve, plunger, extractor, and stationary valve. Each part plays an essential role in ensuring efficient operation and durability under harsh conditions.
